Activities can be used to manage how an instructor’s time is scheduled to be spent, they can be used in addition to or instead of allocating lessons to instructors.
Setup – Activities
Once they have been setup, activities can be added to an instructor’s schedule and when set as completed will be included in the instructor’s pay at the rate set for that instructor and activity. Any activity that your instructors will be spending time on can be created.
Navigate → Schedule → Schedule
Click Manage Activities & Add to Schedule and select the Manage Activities tab.
For our example ski school we will setup activities – Day Off, Driving and Private Lesson Setup.
- Day Off – Category Misc, no Pay
- Driving – Category Misc, non lesson rate
- Private Lesson Setup – Category Private Ski , non lesson rate
To create an activity provide a name, a color, associate it with one of your categories and select if the activity is No Pay, Non lesson Rate, Lesson Rate or Request Lesson Rate.
These pay rates correspond to those set for each instructor. If, for example, an instructor is assigned to a non lesson rate activity they will be paid at their non lesson pay rate for the number of hours they have been scheduled to the activity.
