The Bring Into Package function allows users to bring an existing non accommodation booking into an existing package.

It is possible for a situation to arise where a guest has service bookings which are not packaged with their main booking. Some examples of how this could happen are:

  • A booking is made for a 3rd party item with the supplier over the phone who enters the booking via their account
  • A guest with an existing booking makes a guest service enquiry via your website or a customer form
  • An error is made when making a booking or ejecting a booking from a package

These bookings can be brought into a package with the existing bookings via the add to package tab on the Edit Booking page.

  • Select Add To Package
  • Select Existing Booking
  • Enter the booking id for the booking you would like to bring into the package (Adoptee) and click Search
  • If it is not possible to bring this booking into the package and error message will be displayed, otherwise you will see details of the booking
  • If details displayed are correct click Bring Into Package

To use bring into package a user must have Bring Into Package Admin permission, see Multiple User Setup for more.

When using bring into package:

  • The Adoptee booking will be moved from its current package into the open package.
  • When bring a direct booking into an agent booking, if no vendor lead guest is present on the Adopter the lead guest of the Adoptee will be added as vendor lead guest on the Adopter.
  • If the package which contained the Adoptee booking no longer contains any bookings it will cease to exist (this cannot be undone).
  • Bring into package applies to your account only. If you have made 2 bookings with a vendor and combine them into a package this will not combine them in the vendors account.

It is not possible to bring a booking into a package if:

  • The Adoptee booking is an Accommodation booking.
  • The Adoptee booking was made by an Agent.
  • Doing so would cause a package with existing invoices/payments to cease to exist.

Also, packages will be in order of booking numbers and it is not possible to re-arrange the package order.
