Cleaning tasks can be managed on a booking by booking basis on the Edit A Booking page or Mass Updated for all bookings checking in in a date range.

Cleaning Tasks – Edit A Booking Page

When a booking is made a cleaning schedule can be selected, if no scheduled is selected the default schedule will be used.

Cleaning tasks will be generated in the booking based on the schedule selected unless a booking is made to check in today or at any date in the past.

Cleaning tasks will be regenerated for a booking on the following events:

  • Edit booking details, stay dates etc
  • Change the cleaning schedule
  • Using the mass update (see below)

Note that cleaning will not be regenerated if:

  • The booking’s check in is today or at any date in the past
  • The Housekeeping Update policy is set to Don’t auto update Cleans

To change the cleaning Schedule for a booking Click Edit in the Additional Stay Details area, choose one of the schedules associated with the room type from the drop down box and click Save.

Any Room Notes added here will appear on the reports generated for cleaners.

In the Additional Stay Details area is also possible to choose to include or exclude a booking from being automatically changed by setting the Housekeeping Update policy.

To manually edit cleaning:

On the Edit A Booking page click Edit in the Housekeeping Details area.

ManualCleans

From here you can generate cleans from the selected schedule, add and delete cleans individually or clear all cleans.

If you make changes to the cleaning in a booking these will be overwritten when the housekeeping mass update is run, unless the Housekeeping Update policy for the booking is set to Don’t Auto Update Cleans. This can be changed in the Additional Stay Details.

Cleaning Tasks – Mass Update

If you make changes to a cleaning schedule template via Product Setup >> Housekeeping you will need to use Mass Update to regenerate cleans in multiple bookings.

To bulk generate cleans:

Navigate → Reports  Housekeeping and click the Mass Update tab.

Choose the appropriate date range and click Update.

This will create all cleaning events for bookings checking in in the date range selected. The cleaning schedule associated with each booking will be used to generate cleans.

Cleans will not be generated for bookings where the Housekeeping Update policy is Don’t Auto Update Cleans.
