RoomBoss uses custom accounting codes to define income and expense categories.
To setup your account you will need to let us know the accounting codes you wish to use.
Using custom codes allows you to group expenditure items and will help you to manage expenses over time.
Account code entries have fields for code, sub code and labels in English and Japanese, a limited example set of accounting codes would be:
Code | Sub Code (optional) | Type – English | Type – Japanese |
101 | – | Electricity | 電気 |
102 | – | Kerosene | 灯油 |
103 | – | Water | 水 |
104 | – | Housekeeping | ハウスキーピング |
105 | – | Snow clearing | 除雪 |
– | – | – | – |
– | – | – | – |
160 | – | Booking Revenue | 予約収入 |
When adding entries to an account (or to multiple accounts) you will attribute entries to the appropriate account code defined here.
This is done by choosing the type of the payment.
For example, when adding an electricity bill you would enter its type as Electricity, it would then be attributed to the account code 101.
Account codes also appear on the downloadable excel reports – Using accounting codes which match your company accounting software will help you reconcile with RoomBoss reports.
